I read a lot of books about the last queen france and I don´t think Kirsten fits this role. I don´t want to say Kirsten is a bad actress, absolutly no, she´s a great actress, it just doesen´t fit her. Marie-Antoinette is too big for Dunst...

bullshit. :-?

Medici, I kind of feel that way too. But Sophia Coppola did pick Kirsten for the role.... and Sophia wouldn't just pick any actress for one of her films. We'll see how it goes. 8-)

kirsten correspond exactement à l'image fragile de marie antoinette! c'est un très bon choix de la part de sophia! ;-)

Im kind of iffy about Kirsten Dunst as well. Marie Antionette is just to big a role for such a young but very talented actress! I was going to say that Diane Kruger from Troy would have been a good choice...she speaks French and well she is German which is quite close to Austria...but who knows maybe Kirsten may pull it off! There isnt really alot of actress's who couldve played this part

the costume Kirsten is wearing in this photo is the dress Marie Antoinette is wearing in the painting by Jacques Fabien Gautier-Dagoty. I think in this film, they're going to be making a lot of the costumes based on replica's of the ones in portraits and paintings like they did in the film Elizabeth with Cate Blanchett.

I'm afraid in this world there are a lot more Marie Antoinette's fan than Kirsten's ones...so, apart from not corresponding at all with the features of the Queen, people could be very disappointed with the film if they don't see the real life of Marie Antoinette. I'm sure the majority would like a true story, and not a Hollywood tale....let's hope for the best!!!

Diane Kruger played Helen of Troy so she is the most beautiful woman in the world that way. Kirsten looks as though she is warming up to the role rather well. Just such a shock from her role in Spiderman

I think Kirsten is better for the part than Diane Krüger, who is rather cold. Kirsten is very charming. Let's hope that she will get M-A right because it's a complex part

I don't think it really matters what sort of roles Kirsten played last time. If she nails this one, it will prove how versatile she really is. I mean, she did play a vampire child in 18th century France, right?

Well, in TIWTV she was from New Oleans, not France. But I think she'll do great with A-M anyway. She's never let us down before. Right?

Kirsten is a great actress. She looks nothing Like Antoinette though. But, Kirsten has made some pretty good movies. Maybe this film will change her career for the best. I just hope, that if it sucks, which i hope it doesn't, that it won't ruin Antoinette's reputation in modern society. The movie, i should have said, looks like it will be great. We can't judge a book by it's cover, so let's wait and see. But, i doubt it will be disapointing. :-) :-?
